PANCAKE & WAFFLE 2 Recipes (Fueling)

         As many of you know, our Optavia/Medifast Fuelings can be turned into a variety of other creations. I like to be creative in adding variety to my menu. Here is a basic recipe that can work with a variety of different Fueling products. (Optimal 5&1 Compliant)


BASIC WAFFLES RECIPE #1:
[2 Servings: 1 Fueling, 1/4 Condiment, 1/2 Fat (*can omit if 0 fat needed)]

Ingredients:

2 packets of Cinnamon Cream Cheese Swirl Cake (Or Fueling of your choice)
1/8 tsp Baking powder
1/4 tsp baking soda
5 Tablespoon water
1 Tablespoon melted reduced-fat margarine (can be omitted for 0 fat needed)
2 egg white, beaten

Directions:


*If you use Mac-N-Cheese, Pastas, soups or hot cereals, pulse dry packets in a personal blender to make a fine flour-like powder.
Combine all the ingredients, except the egg white, into a medium mixing bowl.
~Beat egg white until soft peaks begin to form.
~Fold egg white into batter, careful not to over mix or it will remove the air bubbles.
~Pour 1/4 batter onto HOT, Mini Waffle Maker (spritzed with fat-free cooking Spray before each waffle) Wait 2 minutes without lifting lid. Use bamboo skewers to release waffle .
(Should yield 4 Waffles, divided into 2  equal portions.)
FOR PANCAKES: Add enough water to make a thinner batter than pour onto hot non-stick griddle Spritzed with fat-free cooking Spray, like Pam.

[2 Servings: 1 Fueling, 1/6 Condiment, 1/2 Fat (*can omit if 0 fat needed)]

Ingredients:

2 packets Blueberry Almond OR Indonesian Cinnamon Hot Cereal
2 teaspoons Vinegar (1/6 Condiment)
1 Tablespoon Walden Farms SugarFree Syrup OR Torani SF (1/2 Condiment)
4 Tablespoon water
1 Tablespoon melted reduced-fat margarine (can be omitted for 0 fat needed)
2  egg white, beaten

Directions:
  • (*If you use Hot cereals, pulse dry packets in a personal blender to make a fine flour-like powder.)
  • Combine all the ingredients, except the egg white, into a medium mixing bowl.
